Mid-Range or Conventional Dentures
At Emergency Denture Repairs, we provide conventional dentures for patients who are unhappy with their ageing smiles. Conventional dentures can only be fitted after any remaining natural teeth have been removed. Once the gums and surrounding tissue has healed, the dentures can be fitted.
The process typically takes around three to six visits after all teeth have been removed and your gum tissue has healed.
In the interim, you can choose to have immediate dentures made, which you can wear during the healing period so you’re not without teeth. Immediate dentures are only a temporary solution and will require adjusting often during the healing process to ensure they fit properly.
Transforming Your Smile
We work alongside you every step of the way, ensuring that you’re comfortable and confident with your new smile. You’ll have the freedom to choose the look and fit of your new conventional dentures during these sessions, giving you a smile that’s tailor made just for you.
Dentures don’t last forever, and you should have an annual examination if you’ve had no problems with them. The tissue and underlying bone in the mouth are continually changing, and over time dentures become worn and don’t fit as well. Dentures usually last between 5 to 7 years and need to be relined every 1 to 2 years to maintain a good fit. Your dental prosthetist will advise when this is necessary. It is important to follow your denture aftercare instructions to maximise the life of your dentures.

The Denture Maintenance Program
At Emergency Denture Repairs, we have an aftercare denture service to inspect and improve the look, fit and feel of your new dentures. During your annual visit, we’ll check the comfort, stability, pattern of tooth wear and bite, as well as look for cracks, chips, scratches or loose teeth so we can prevent any damage to your dentures or gums.
We’ll also give you a thorough oral examination to check for ulcers, fungal infection, fibrous tissue or redness, and we’ll clean and polish your dentures if required.
